4 Year Old Program

The following is provided when implementing the four-year-old program for your Kindergarten child:

Encouragement for your child to carry out ideas and make choices in his/her active learning. A designed program provides a wide range of activities to match and challenge the individual child’s abilities, interests and levels of learning.
Knowledge of the child’s development with recognition of individual differences.
Encouragement for children to be actively involved in learning by a variety of experiences in the context of their life in God’s world, in the family situation and adjustment to school life.
Development of community skills, caring, respect and sensitivity for:
- other children (sharing, taking turns.)
- for adults (listening while others speak.)
- for equipment (packing up after play, looking after the equipment.) and
- good toileting/hygiene skills.
The program is based on an acceptance of each child, AS A WHOLE CHILD i.e. physically, socially, emotionally, spiritually and intellectually.
Children are supported at their level of development but also have the opportunity to solve problems and to be independent.
