Remote Learning from a Parent Perspective

As I am not a teacher, it’s really  hard for me to work with my child when it comes to school work. But  drawing  a time table and following the teacher’s instructions are keeping me going well for the moment.

My tip for parents would be “just don’t stress out about how things are going only, see things in a simple way as we are not perfect. Make a list of what you don’t understand and  seek help from the teacher because they’re always there to help us.

The Bible chapter that strengthens me are Psalm 121, Psalm 118:1,8,24. Roman 12:14.

When I pray, I thank God for all the blessings that I received and  just simply ask God to bless my children as they are a Gift from Him. I also ask Him to bless and protect our nation’s leaders, frontline health professionals, teachers and all the parents and children around the world and also to give me strength to go through each day as I am a weak mother. My favourite song that strengthens me is “One day at a time”.

The games my son likes to play are “I spy with my little eyes something beginning with”,  Snakes & Ladders (winner gets a reward). My son’s favourite outside exploring experience was observing how a caterpillar eats and makes a cocoon, then later it turned into a butterfly. Observing how seeds propagate as we have our own veggie garden eg. Chilli, asparagus, cucumber, tomatoes, water lily, long beans, and some Asian fruits and vegetables.

Finally I would like to thank all the school Teachers and Staff for being supportive, encouraging and always there for us. May  the Greatest God bless you all.
